Delhi is a hidden gem whether it is related to historical places , heritage places , lakes , food spots etc . As Delhi is a landlocked city , there is no natural lake . However, there are man made lakes snd reserviors in around the city that serve the important source of water in the city. Today I’m going to tell you about the hidden water lakes that are situated in Delhi .
Hauz khas lake
1. Hauz khas , Hauz khas is a historic water body located in the Hauz khas neighborhood of south delhi , Delhi . It was build in 13th century but it is renovated and expand in 14th century. oday , the Hauz khas lake is popular spot for jogging, picnic , and sightseeing . The lake is surrounded by the beautiful park , which is popular destination for the touristsand locals . The park and the lake is the home to a variety of birds and wildlife, and there are several walking trails too and viewpoints too to visit that offer a scenic view of the lake, and the purity in air and peace . It is one of the hidden water lakes in Delhi

When Delhi Development Authority( DDA) decided to develop the Hauz Khas vill, their sweats led to the drying of the swash for notable times. As a rectification to the circumstance, a new plan was executed in 2004 with an intention of storming the generated water in Delhi’s southern crest abaft an dam. As per the plans, it was farther diverted into the lake. Also, as per many outside sources, it’s said that the Sanjay Van Lake’s treatment factory acts as a source to feed some of the water into Hauz Khas Lake. The lake is thus, presently revived with all the collaborative sweats by The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage( INTACH).
Damdama lake
2. Damdama , Damdama lake is natural and the popular lake located in Aravalli Hills , which covers the 3000 acres of area and it is also known as the largest lake in Delhi . It is the pouplar destination for the tourists among the different people and the tourists also. The lake is surrounded by the beautiful Aravalli Hills, and is a great spot for outdoor activities such as boating, kayaking, canoeing, and rock climbing. There are also several adventure camps and resorts located near the lake, which offer a range of adventure sports and activities.The best time to visit Damdama lake is in winter months from November to February.
